Meet the Dancer: 60 seconds with Rebecca Pooley
18th October 2018
Tell us a little about your background …
I’m Rebecca, I fell into the world of Salesforce a few years ago when I joined a local recruitment agency who specialised in that area. I have recently launched my own recruitment business: Stride Consulting and I’m always amazed at the sense of community Salesforce has created and am proud to be part of it.
Why did you decide to participate in Strictly?
I was browsing LinkedIn one day when I saw a post about the auditions. I LOVE Strictly, I LOVE dancing and thought this would be a fabulous way to network and raise some money for charity.
Fancy footwork or two left feet?
I currently go to weekly dance classes, it’s a mixture of modern Jive and Salsa. There is no real footwork and the focus is more on fun than technique, so this is still a huge challenge for me but hoping it has set me off on the right foot.
Dream dance partner?
My dream dance partner is a tough choice between Kevin Clifton and Gorka Marquez (pictures below) they are both amazing dancers and let’s be honest, not bad to look at!
What are your hopes for the night?
I’ve never done a fundraiser before, so my biggest hope is to raise some money, I’ve even increased my target to include 2 charities and am really hoping to reach them. I’m also very grateful to have the opportunity to be taught how to dance by our amazing teachers Michael and Eddie and am hoping to master the Jive by the end of this!
